Dr. John Doyle will be presenting Medical Ethics and the Challenge of Suffering: Exploring Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID).
Medical assistance in dying (MAID) presents a challenging ethical dilemma in medicine. Supporters argue it respects patient autonomy and ends unbearable suffering, while opponents fear abuse and devaluation of life. The issue forces a reconsideration of the role of medicine in relieving suffering and maintaining ethical standards.
Casual dinner meeting, usually with a speaker. Come at 6:30 pm for dinner. Speaker will start at 7:30.

The restaurant is off of NC-51 on the road which runs beside the Matthews TARGET shopping center. Independence Pointe Parkway runs from Matthews Township Parkway (NEW Rt 51) to Matthews-Mint Hill Road (OLD Rt 51).
